Texas Tournament Zone has teamed up with Marine Outlet of Temple and Legend Boats to bring you the 2009 Wed Night Tournament series! With the spawn in full force and the big girls moving shallow on Lake Austin, we’ll be hosting the first four events on Austin so get ready for some good times and huge sacks!
New for this year will be the Ride with Legend demo nights. TTZ and Marine Outlet will have a 2009 Legend 211 Alpha with a Mercury 250 Pro XS at every event for you to demo! That’s right, come out early and take a test drive in Legend’s flagship vessel at any one of our tournaments!
Last year we averaged 21 teams per event and paid out $18,445.00 in prize money! As always, we award the next place out of the money a tackle pack and this year will be no different as Gary Yamamoto Custom Baits and Kinami Baits will be sponsoring our tackle packs. Also, with Marine Outlet and Legend Boats on board this season promises to be BIGGER and BETTER than ever so stay tuned for incentive plans and more ways to win even more money!
Our first tournament is scheduled to kick off March 11 and we hope to see everyone out there! If you aren’t fired up yet, check out the pics from some of last year’s tournaments. In just 3.5 hours of fishing there was an average weight of 16.91 pounds for the top three paid places and it took an average weight of 19.79 pounds to win. Big bass averaged 7.93 pounds per tournament…”Go Big or Go Home!”
