Our friends at LoneStarBass.com have asked us to help raise awareness for a very special cause. Earlier this year, Jim Behnken’s wife passed after a hard fought battle with leukemia. As you can imagine, such a lengthy battle will result in stifling medical bills and other liabilities. Life at times can deal some heavy blows, and though many of us have been faced with hardships it’s difficult to understand what the Behnken family has been through the past years.
A group of local anglers and family friends have set up a raffle and benefit tournament to help offset the expenses the Behnkens have incurred during their pressing times. All donations will go directly to this cause. Please take a moment to read Jane’s story and help in any way you can.
There are some unbelievable trips that have been donated by many of the state’s top guides and anglers along with great prizes from several companies; the raffle drawing will be held October 31, 2009. The Memorial Tournament will be held November 15, 2009 on Choke Canyon.
