OfflineI'm throwing on a 7-11 med heavy swimbait rod with 65lb braid……no issues with slinging the "swimming cactus". I've had some big followers, not unlike the big swimbaits. Largest fish to date is about 3.5lbs.
mine have a .040 wire which is pretty stiff. I've seen some with the .035 wire and they are pretty soft, to where the baits bunch together on the retrieve. The smaller wire probably goes thru the grass better. Mine is not grass friendly, but i've also exposed the hooks.
