My brother and I took Rooster, his son Ty, and my son Garrett to the lease this weekend hoping to put Ty on his first deer.  We left Sunday and came home on Tuesday a.m. and had a great time.  Good food, lots of cold beer (for the guides), kick ass camp fire, football on the tube, and some decent hunting.  We tried our best to get Ty on a doe but it just didnt work out. He did shoot this and that is something none of us have done to date!!!! Popped it w/ a .270.  Congrats Ty, that is a beautiful bird.

Garrett on the other hand was on fire, he sat w/ my brother Keith the first afternoon and within an hour and a half had a pig and a doe at 125 yds w/ a .223.  I dont think I could have hit that little pig at that distance, prolly 25 -30lbs at most.  According to my brother he was more fired up about hog than the deer, go figure.

The next afternoon he sat w/ me.  We forgot to bring shells for his gun so he had to shoot my 30/06.  He nailed this fox at about 50 yds.  He had no idea he hit the fox after that 30/06 hit him in the shoulder but he slammed it and was fired up!!! Good times w/ friends and the kids.  Cant wait to get back out there to rough it some more
