Good deal! Did he rattle at you? That's one sound I'll never forget We killed a couple on our lease last year.

No he never did, of course I was on the Ranger so I may not have heard it initially.  2nd one by the house this year so I'm sure I have some more hunting to do.

Now that's a good snake!  DEAD!

I have heard some reports that they are starting not to rattle due to hogs being able to find them easier when they do.  Damn things are learning.

You need to skin that thing out and mount it. I mounted one I killed about a year ago and it turned out badass.

Yeah If you get another one all you have to do is just cut the head off and freeze it.. I'll handle the rest. I'll post up a picture of the one I mounted later.

Gonna make a nice mount. I'll save the meat for you hong. You can probably make some kind of stir fry with it.. Maybe even add in some of that Goo sauce you got from Hughes' lake record.

Believe me Trey I'd rather not see them. Almost stepped on that one, never rattled.  Actually that is 3 in 3 weeks, all over 4 ft, the third was killed by a car as it was coming into my front yard.

Me no likey snakes

I don't mind snakes, but that would probably make me crap my pants.

I haven't seen a rattler, but have eaten them…not bad.

Robby, you need to get you some stray cats and turn them loose around your house. On our deer lease down south were having a terrible snake problem around our camp. A couple of the guys went to the humane society and picked up some stray cats, turned them loose and we never saw a snake around the house again. I don't know why but for some reason the cats run them out. You would think it would be the complete opposite.

We had two killer cats running around but are down to one now, think the yotes made a sweep by here.  May need to add another one for sure.

I would suggest investing in a pair of these.. Especially with dove season right around the corner.
