My grandson Merle has been wanting to go fishing with me and ride in the Bass Cat .  He helps me hook up the trailer and drop it when I get home from fishing on Saturdays when he is at our house .  So I met my son Kyle and his wife Chasity at the South Shore ramp on Lake Bastrop .  We went for a leisurely boat ride that he thoroughly enjoyed .  The wind was blowing about 30mph so I pulled into Osprey Cove and fished an outter grass line with a drop shot .  I hooked a fish right away and Merle reeled it in .  We caught two more in about 15min ,  so now he wants to go with me all the time . My future partner !  They spent the rest of the day swimming and playing in the water .  Good times .  DG
