Ok, so is there anyone else here a bit bothered by the fact that they increased the launch fees at most ramps?  The one that is particularly bothering me is at the Pennybacker Bridge (360) not only do we have to pay more for the same launch ramps, and minimal parking, but we also have to wash our vehicles every time we park there.  I make it a point to never park under the bridge, but lately it does not seem to matter where I park, I end up with 10-50 piles of bird $&!# all over my truck and trailer.   Surely there is something that can be done about this short of us all bringing our shotguns to the next Wed nighter?   I know the easy answer is to put in elsewhere, well I like hanging out after the tourney b.s.ing with everyone,  so what is the answer?  Off the soapbox.

What are they charging now?  Do you know if they raised the annual passes as well?

I know they tried to blast all the nests under the bridge last summer and it helped for a bit; but the birds came back and rebuilt every single one of them.

I purchase two passes every year, one for the 'Hoe and one for the K5, and the second pass for your other tow vehicle is only $35.00.  Just find a buddy and have his truck be your “other” tow vehicle and split the cost.

It is 12 bucks to launch, and they did raise the annual passes as well.

I am with Jacky on this one … I am not a happy camper with the cost per launch being raised from $10 to $12 … I have the mind set they did so just because they could.  If I knew they would make improvements or provide a better service to the public, then I would be ok  … maybe something like no skiing / wakeborading / presonal water craft within 1000 ft of a boat that is fishing (HaHa)

On the flip side, after reading the BASS article on the Japan lunker where they pay $50 to launch … ouch that really hurts!

Peace – Rodney
