I checked my 2001 Mercury 225 EFI and it had this hose with the problems shown in the pictures. I am replacing all my hoses with this new Ethanol EPA approved hose and thought I would pass this info along.

OfflineHelped my buddy replace 2 fuel lines yesterday on Merc 225 EFI and 25 Yami; both were brought in saying they needed carb work. Not the case at all, both of them had the fuel lines gummed up solid. I don't know how they even started. Check your'e fuel lines guy's it's unreal what our fuel we pay $4 a gallon for is really giving us. Star Tron makes a fuel additive (as if we need more additives to pay for) that is very reasonable and seems to work well so far.
