OfflineI have a ZX 225 with a 225 HPDI on it and I am trying to find a prop that will get me more speed without losing my hole shot. I am running a VMAX 25 pitch T1 on it and it tops out at 65. I would like to get about 70 out of the boat. Any info is appreciated.
Thanks

OfflineGet yourself a turbo props lightning TXP in 25p. It turns a little stiffer than your T, but will improve holeshot, mid range, and jack it up a 1/4in and it willl improve topend. If you are running 65 now and are well set up 70 may be a stretch but getting another 2-3 mph should be no problem. Also it always a good idea to put your front compartments on a diet.
Get the TXP set the motor at 3″ below pad and work it up till you either lose speed, lose lift, or lose too much water pressure. Most guys are running that prop at 3″-2.5″ below the pad.
You can get a turbo prop at Marine Outlet in Temple, TX. Give them a call at 773-254-9931.
Also if you give me your
Max Rpms
Speed at max rpms
pad to prop measurement
You may also be able to squeeze a little more out of that T1 you have, good set up is awlays important before just throwing stuff against the wall.
