A A ARunning an '06 Yamaha HPDI 225, it's very common for me to get an overheat alarm on Lake Austin due to loss of water pressure. At first I thought I was just sucking up debris or getting clogged up with accidently running over some surface grass/debri, but this is becoming too common. My water pressure even will drop after hitting a wake sometimes. Most of the time I sit there and plow for a while until the water pressure jumps back up, then I'm good for a while. Yesterday when I was on Lake Austin it happened almost everytime I ran somewhere and lately it has become a real nuisance as it seems way too common. This ONLY happens on Lake Austin which makes me think it has something to due with grass or getting clogged with debris. Does anyone else have this problem or know what could be going on? Thanks in advance for any suggestions/tips.
David

OfflineDoes it go off only at slow speeds? What does your water pressure read when running 5-15 or 15-30 on the gauge. I had a problem with mine and there is a spring that is part of the low water pick up that may need cleaning out. It is located on the back of the motor under the cover way down low if that is your problem. I have a 07 250 HPDI.
