My trim gauge stopped working last week which ended up being a broken trim gauge “sender” clamp.  The old clamps; at least on the skeeters were made out of plastic but the new replacements are metal.  I wasn't exactly sure how replace the broken part so I started surfing the internet.

Went onto the BBC Skeeter Board and they had a thread with some pretty good basic information on how to replace a broken trim gauge clamp.  I didn't realize it was such a simple process.  Here is the thread… http://bbcboards.zeroforum.com…..?id=307645

Just thought I'd share for those that may be experiencing trim gauge issues.

What is a trim gauge for?  :) Mine hasn't exactly worked since around 2003 when I put a new motor on it.

Some anal retentive people…humm….. like myself… lose sleep at night if something as simple as that isn't working on my boat regardless if I use it or not.  My speedometer stopped working a year ago and I'm still stressing over it. Still haven't figured that one out?????

Haha yeah my speedometer doesn't work either.  It was continually getting plugged with debris.  You can clean them out with a drill bit by hand (not in a drill), or usually you can disconnect and blow them out too.  I just got tired of having to do that on pretty much every trip.
