Here's another "Living vicariously through pics" report I got from Dale Read this weekend…

The reports from Austin have been lackluster lately, but apparantly the big fish were biting Saturday morning with the cooler weather and clouds.

Ronny Maynard got into them pretty good and stuck this 11.06 lber earlier in the day

The fish are in the grass and are eating big jigs and 3/4-1 oz Tx rigged creature baits; leave the sissy sticks at home and bust out the punching gear. Dale had a productive day as well and stuck a 9 lber on his first cast, I'll let him post more details if he chooses.

I love getting these fish pics when I'm in a meeting!

Wow, what a great looking fish, yall might laugh, but with all the new grass in the lake, and no drawdown scheduled, I bet we get real close to the state record in the next couple years!

Man, ya'll must've already sacked all the big ones by the time I made it out on Saturday. I was at work all day, and looking out there at the clouds and stuff I kept thinking the bite must be good. When I finally got off work, I had about 3 hours to be able to fish in the evening. Out of those 3 hours, I spent probably 2 of them punching the grass because my gut kept telling me that's where they were. I didn't get one bite doing that though. In the last little bit I finally broke down and drop-shotted some 2lbers in 16-18FOW. :-( You guys are makin' me really jealous.
