OfflineHad a guide trip on Canyon today, water temp to start was 51 and the warmest we found all day was 55. No wind until about 2:30 and seemed to be about 10mph. Customer wanted to throw a blade all day (his go-2 bait) and he had no expectations going in, he just wanted to be out on the water. Well his blade did pay off with 4 bites, three of which looked to be close to keeper size, one was a dink. I caught 4 on a weighted Disco Violet fluke. Bites came between 2-8 fow. Threw a shallow crank quite a bit as this was the report I was given and could not get a bite, also could not get bit on a drop shot. My customer is from Pennsylvania, and manages a hunting and fishing department at Dick's, so the conversation never stopped all day. Good day on the water.

Went camping on that lake every summer (couple times each summer) w/ my grandparents and parents when I was growing up. We trot lined and caught the hell out of some cats. Never bass fished it though. My granddad caught a 10 + (bass) on the lines once and threw it up on the bank, damn trash fish, not even worth eatin'. Gotta love the 70's-80's.
Nice report James, if I was from PA I would have told you to keep driving south to some place called Falcon.
