OfflineWe had a bass club T on Fayette Saturday. Put in at OT ramp at 6:15 & 28 degrees. No wind and lots of clothes so it didn't seem so cold. We headed to the outlet and anchored off on the side to fish the rocks. WT was about 68-70 in the outlet with quit a few fish splashing around but we couldn't get them to hit a top water bait. We caught about 12 or so on T-rig on the rocks before the sun came up and the bite got slow and the catfish moved up. We had lots of company as the boats came and went all morning long. We had a couple of boats come in and park right on the area we were targeting so we had to tell the guys to give us some room. They appologized but didn't really seem to understand why we said something. They were about 10 yards from us and trolled right into the area we were casting to! I guess they never learned fishing etiquette. My partner and I papered 18lbs for ten fish, never found the big fish but placed third. Our first and second place teams had over 20Lbs each which they caught tight on trees. The weather turned out to be awesome with only a slight breeze and so much sun I got a sunburned face. Hope the weather holds until next weekend! Have a great week! <:><~~~
