I managed to sneak out on to Lake Travis on the 28th. Launched out at Dink Pearson. The ramp is still in good shape so I did not even have to use 4wd. We got there around 1pm and left around 5:30pm. Water temps were 58-60 degrees in most locations. I fished from Carlos and Charlies up to Lago Vista area throwing jigs, worms, and spinner baits. From 1pm to 5pm we struggled and only caught two short fish, but right at dusk the bite turned on and we caught about 10 keepers with the biggest going right around 4lbs. Best five might have been 12lbs or so.
Too bad Bass Champs is moving the Travis tournament to Lake LBJ, but TTZ will be there on the Feb 4th! Hope to see everyone out there!
