Wonder how many of these are going to fly off the shelves in the next few weeks?  Seems like both KVD and Lane were throwing them.

Milky and I started fishing the Red Eye on Rayburn in '08 and found a 12-14 lb pattern chunking them in areas with both wood and grass; not a huge sack by Rayburn standards but it was good enough for a backup pattern if our frog bite disappeared.  Last year Academy had them on sale for $3 a pop and I picked up about 30 of them.

Not a bad little bait for around $5.00, they do catch fish and you can launch these things a proverbial mile; plus they won't hurt the wallet much when you lose half a dozen over a weekend of fishing.

I was at Gander Mountain last week and they were $1.95. They had chrome/blue, sexy shad, chartreuse sexy shad. Either way I now have about 30 more than I did previously.

A heads up that they may still be on sale, but after the classic they may be picked through pretty good.

Tackle Warehouse is out of nearly every color: http://i14.photobucket.com/alb…..Redeye.jpg

Also noticed there is now a KVD series of Triple Grips with the shorter shank.  Might have to pick some up when they become available.

Think I'm going to go buy a Nitro….or maybe just spray paint Nitro on the side of my boat.
