Anybody tried these?  Jacky carries 'em at FishFinder's, and I've fingered 'em everytime I go in there.  Just haven't pulled the trigger.  I think it would be killer to use a fluke with one.  I know they are supposedly most effective in clearer water and with spotted bass, but I could see some applications in our neck of the woods.

Who am I kidding…it would lay in my box like every other reaction bait I own.

Jake killed the blacks throwing them on Kentucky Lake in July. Catchingschooling fish on every cast. I have had good success on Fayette County and Austin this year. Jacky even has the 1oz for deep ledge fishing.

I bought the 3/16 and threw a Fluke behind it for a bit, basically adds a wobble to your bait.  It didn't blow me away but maybe different baits will work better with this head.

But there is definitely something about the Scrounger, every time I go to Jacky's he is out of the smaller sizes.

I have yet to pull the trigger on them too. Was at Jackies and he was out of the smaller sizes but expected more very soon. I also found them at academy on 1431 and 183. Not sure if the money is worth it at ~$6 for 3? Jacky did set me up with $40 worth of some sweet plastic stuff I could not live without… Can never leave there with out spending money….haha.

I have been throwing them for about a year.  I was given some at a FLW event on lake Amistad. the bait seems to work well when you put a fluke or white trick worm behind it.  The way I was shown to use it was to fish it like a worms slow crawling near the bottom around points and rock piles. It is a good way to catch a limit if the fish are reacting to shad type baits. Keep the rod tips up is a must to keep the exposed hook upwards.

I have been trying a variation of the scrounger. The Booya chatterbait 1/8 oz remove the skirt and put a fluke jr for a trailer. You can throw it with a bait cast. DG
