Okay this is one of the most versatile ways of catching fish.  Bass fisherman have won a lot of money using this method of fishing. Okay this is going to be a quick and easy lesson for those who want o understand how it works.

The rig- main line weigh,bead,swivel and tag line that goes to the hook.

-main line(line that goes on the reel)- 20 or 30 pound braid or 20 pound mono filament type line.

-beads will be either glass or plastic. The bead will protect your knot. A glass bead makes more noise when it hits your weight.

-the swivel should not be not smaller than the whole opening of your weights

-tag line I use is usually no more than 14 pound mono filament. I like to use this type of line because it floats.

- weights I use can be the egg, cylinder or worm types weights.

- the hooks I use are light wire which give the baits I use more action. Too heavy hook less bites.

Location- the rig works best when used covering water on long points, ledges, drop offs and road beds. 

-Choosing locations will depend on the fish seasonal patterns. Dragging deep water during the spawn will not work. 

Presentation- the way to work the bait to get a reaction bite

-Sweep the rod while dragging the sinker along the bottom is the way I like to use fish the Rig.

 Lures- baits that work near the  bottom of the water column

- creature type baits work well. baits acting like they are injured or making scared motions work well.
