36.02 lbs Wins TTZ Lake Austin Wed Night Tournament – 5/04/11

The previous Wed Night record of 30.18 pounds, set by Dale and Jake Read on March 11, 2009, was shattered by Jack Waldrop Jr. and Mike Waldrop tonight! The Waldrops brought in an amazing 36.02 lb bag and won Big Bass with an 11.90 lb toad.

Second place went to Mike James and Clint Mullins with 19.16 lbs and rounding out the money in third were Waylon Papst and Trey Epich with 13.20 lbs.

Lake Austin never ceases to amaze me…what a ridiculous fishery we have in our backyards. The sad part is I live 2.6 miles away from the lake and still can't put together a decent Wed night limit to save my life.

Full results and pics will be posted tomorrow. Congrats to the teams in the money and big congrats to the Waldrops!

I'm still in shock, I initially thought it was over 40lbs. Our scale tops out at 40lbs and when I put the bag on there it read Error at 1st but then starting reading. I think the scale was screaming "Mercy" from the weight.

What a sack! Our 3 fish for 10 pounds wasn't even worthy of placing them on the scales. I may have to spend more time on that lake then once a month. lol

Absolutely incredible. Glad I was there to see it in person. I didn't even want to weigh ours in but I guess I'm glad we did. Didn't think we had anywhere near 13 pounds. Those fish are so fat right now they can fool you. There short and stocky just like little TDubs. See ya'll next wednesday. Congrats BBQ Bros.
