BLT Temple Premier Division Update

This division was originally going to be a $300 entry fee division (Belton and Ivie twice with Buchanan at the end of the schedule) but due to the low turnout at the Feb 12 event on Belton may be changed to an "Open Tournament" format for the remaining schedule. Here is a statement from BLT:

We decided to cancel and reschedule this first tournament due to the low turn out after discussing this with the anglers who were there Feb 12th. At this time our plan is to make "Open Tournaments" out of the remaining schedule and lower the entry fee to $160 with no BLT membership required.

We would appreciate any input from anglers who might have an opinion or interest in fishing Open Tournaments on the lakes remaining on the Temple Premier schedule.

We simply missed the mark on the interest in a $300 BLT Division in this area. While we are thankful with the attendance with our other BLT/USA Bass Trails divisions, we will regroup with the input received on this one, and put another schedule in this area and try again next year.

We do offer a Waco Team $160 entry fee Division that fishes on Lake Belton and Lake Waco for those in the Temple / Waco area. The first tournament is Feb 20 on Lake Belton. This division should have a good turnout this year based on last year's participation.

Probably a good move by BLT; I wonder how many teams actually showed up with $300 to fish Belton last Sat?
