It's been another great year and the 2009 season is coming to an end.  Here is the remaining list of confirmed dates for this year's Wed Nighters:

- 9/09/09

- 9/16/09

- 9/23/09

- 9/30/09

Depending on the level of interest and turnout we may continue to run them all the way up to the time change (10/31/09).  However, we do realize hunting season is around the corner and it's just about time to go shoot some birds!

We'll be at City Park each week around 5:30 pm, registration and livewell checks start at 6:00 pm.  Please do not launch from City Park as the gates close at 10:00 pm and you will be locked in.

Complete rules can be found here: http://ttz1.com/texas-tourname…..ournament/

Results will be posted the same evening or next day.

Great time on the water tonight. Got to fish with the LA master Dale Read and we won first with 5 fish for a measly 8.5 lbs. against 27 boats!!

I learned why I suck at fishing and why Dale is so good. Fishing is a 95% mental game and Dale gives 120% from first cast until 9:54 pm.

This has always been my biggest problem, tough bite, break a rod, lose a fish, get bored, and I give up. I learned what I already knew to never give up, but Dale takes it to a whole new level and it was really cool to see it pay off. I did boat one keep that helped get us on top, but still if it was not for Dale trying to fish until the last second, we would have not won.

On another note, I still do not know, and no one else knows what is wrong with Lake Austin right now.  However, one lucky fish is paying off huge right now.

A real testament to our crowd happened too when a couple of guys brought in about an 8 pounder and right away said that they netted it in the water. All attempts were made to revive the fish, but it died later. Still, hats off to those guys extreme honesty.

Dale, thanks again for letting me fish with you.

Eric, I enjoyed fishing with you last night, Jake going out of town on short notice almost left me solo. Thanks for changing up your plans and fishing with me. If the fish ever turn on again on Lake Austin every one out will enjoy it more.

Thanks again,

Dale

Congrats Dale, Eric, Grant, Bryan, Bobby and Shane for finishing in the money last night!  Always good to see people I know raking some of the pot.

Eric, I'm not sure how many times "Never give up" has been proven on Lake Austin (you proved it to yourself last year when you caught a 7.37 and two other solid keepers with 20 minutes left to go in the last Wed Nighter of 2008) but I'm glad it was proven to you again fishing with Dale last night.

Dan,

Yea, missed ya out there last night and I am sure you missed the $$$ in your pocket too. :)

Keep in touch, even if you are a little late, normally can catch a ride with someone.
