We saved the best for last and will be closing out the regular season on Lake Austin June 4th, 2011.  We'd like to thank everyone that has fished with us this season and helped us set new benchmarks for the Lone Star Series tournament trail; here's a quick recap of the winners from the first three Central Division events of 2011:

2/05/11 – Travis – 70 teams

Randy Hibler and Randall Christian – 17.20 lbs – $3,500 + $400 Oakley Polarized Optics

3/26/11 – LBJ – 76 teams

Scott David and Harold Moore – 18.30 lbs – $3,600 + $400 Oakley Polarized Optics

4/23/11 – Buchanan – 59 teams

Joe Bray and Brandon Bray – 21.49 lbs – $3,000 + $570 Big Bass + $400 Oakley Polarized Optics

We'll be launching and weghing in out of City Park (Emma Long); the gate at City Park doesn't open until 6 am so you might consider launching from one of the other ramps on the lake:

- 360, Walsh Landing, Quinlan or Steiner Ranch

Registration is due by Tuesday, May 31 if you would like to pre-fish the Wed, Thurs or Fri before the tournament.  Entry fee is $150 per team with an optional $10 Big Bass side pot.

Online registration is available through this link: http://ttz1.com/tournaments/lo…..s-central/ or you may drop it off with Jacky Roberts at Fish Finder's Marine in Round Rock.

It's not too late to qualify for the October 22-23, 2011 North/Central Championship on Sam Rayburn.  Teams may qualify by fishing 3 tournaments in one division or finishing in the top 50% of the final weight rankings in their respective division.  The LSS Championship Grand Prize will be a Nitro Z7 powered by a Mercury 150 (valued at $25,000).

It's been several years since a major tournament trail has visited Lake Austin and we've been looking forward to this tournament all year…it's gonna be one big party the night before and a slug fest come tournament day!

Tim, spoke with Don yesterday and he informed me of Knupps.  We were originally considering Harvey's across the lake but will contact Knupps and see if we can get rooms for the rest of the crew.

Thanks for the heads up!

Looking forward to Lake Austin, I am ready for the wind to blow 40 in all directions, and the waves to crash over the bow, in addition to the teeny boppers out on daddys boat acting a fool.   I really am looking forward to this one.  Hopfully, I can refigure them out before the 4th.

Spoke with one of the attendants and the gates at City Park will open as early as 5:45 am Saturday, June 4th.  This should give you a few extra minutes to launch your boat and be ready for take off at safe light should you decide to launch at the weigh-in site.

Reminder to get your entry fee in by midnight tonight if you want to pre-fish Wed, Thurs or Fri this week.  You may register online though the link posted above or if you would like to register and pay over the phone with a credit card give me a call at 713-291-4119.

As mentioned an attendant should be at City Park to open the gates at 5:45 am on Saturday; we'll start launching boats around 6:20 am.  If you would like to use another ramp I would suggest putting in at 360; you can always weigh your fish in a little early and trailer back to the weigh-in if you don't feel like beaching your boat.  The 360 ramp is about 9 miles (25 minutes) from the weigh-in site by land.

Should be some great fishing this weekend!
