We had 14 boats show up to the Tues Night season opener; the Triple 7 Big Bass pot nearly went down with two fish over 7 pounds brought to the scale!

1st place – Cody Martin and John McClung – (5) 17.62 lbs – $250

2nd place – Kevin Thress and Travis Garner – (5) 14.46 lbs – $170

3rd place – Greg Craycroft and Nate Head – (5) 11.69 lbs – Pro's Choice Lures tackle pack

Complete results will be posted tomorrow.  Congrats Cody and John!

It was a tough night on the water for us.  We ran to some new water and lost a couple of solid keepers on the Sammy, they were just slapping at the bait and not eating it.  We caught a lot of short fish and 9 small keepers all between 14-15.5 inches.

Could never get on a solid bite last night but still had a good time.

Some good bags weighed in for sure last night, and almost saw the triple 7 busted already!  Congrats to John and Cody.  Great to see everybody out, and looking forward to next week.

Grant and I caught a lot of dinks and put 5 decent keepers in the boat for just over 10 pounds.  Caught them on brush hogs, a caffeine shad, and the Rattlesnake.  Fish were caught on bluffs and points…wind action seemed to help.  Most bit within a few handle cranks of the retrieve.
