The River City Grille Big Bass Rollover starts at $1070 this month! (See below for more info on the Rollover)

The Tues Nighters in August are scheduled on 8/03, 8/10, 8/17, 8/24 and are brought to you by:

*The Tues Nighters will run until 8/24. If the rollover is not paid out it will be carried over into a full day tournament on Saturday, 8/28 and split 50/30/20 among the top three places; the entry fee for this tournament will remain $40. All anglers must have fished at least one Tuesday night tournament in 2010 to be eligible to fish the Saturday tournament.

August will be the last month for the 2010 Travis Tuesday Night Tournament season. There are still four more chances to catch that big girl and four more chances to qualify for the August 28 full day tournament if the pot doesn't get paid out.

10 teams fished the 8/03 tournament and it was 100 degrees at check-in!

1st – Kelley Mauldin and Mike Grounds 5/11.12 lbs ($180)

Tuesday night Travis recap.

jake and I started out fishing Marshall ford marina with jake picking up the first keeper on a c-rig crawl in 6 to 10 fow. I followed it up with a 13" shorty. We left and headed back to sandy area where I picked up my 1st keeper on a blue fleck power worm on a do nothing bank. 30 yards down Jake picks up our 3rd keeper on the same power worm I was throwing. Thinking this is a good fish Jake put in the boat we may have a shot at cashing a check if we can catch a few more dark comes. Fishing slows and I catch one more 14 and 1/32 in fish on a fluke we head in with our four fish total.

Our deepest fish comes from 6-10 FOW!

But fun times were had by all and will see everyone tonight on Austin!

Most teams reported catching their fish in deeper water ranging from 25-50'; we saw water temps as high as 92 degrees this week.

Also, the first and third place weights shown are after a one pound fish care penalty. I'm glad there are only a couple more weeknight tournaments on Travis…it's about time to shut her down!

Thanks to all who assisted Jake and I on the side of 620 last night after the tournament to get home safely. It looks like I blew the Turbo up only, should be back in action Friday if all goes well.

It is a great feeling to have people come to help when we are in need.

Just one more Tues Nighter to go in the blistering heat before we wrap up the season with a Saturday tournament (barring an eight pounder or better coming to the scales next week). Next Tuesday will be your last chance to qualify for the Saturday, August 28 event; so if you haven't fished a Tuesday Night Tournament this year be sure to make plans and join us next week at Mansfield…the Saturday tournament might be one of the best payouts on a $40.00 entry you'll ever come across!

Tomorrow will be the last Tues Nighter of the 2010 season and your last chance to nail that 8 lber and take home over $1,300! If the River City Grille Big Bass Rollover doesn't get paid out, we'll publish the details of the Saturday, August 28 event the following day.
