For those planning on heading up Friday and are looking for open hotel rooms, the America's Best Value Inn is fairly close to the lake and still has a couple open at $80.00

Y'all be careful where you stay up there. I once stayed at a place up there that was completely empty during the day, but the minute the sun went down it was obvious there were quite a few business transactions happening from the rooms and in the parking lot. We didn't have any problems, but one of the guys that was in our group made it a point to pull is concealed weapons out and clean them on the deck of the boat before retiring for the evening. lol.
