Basstrak just put Combs in 8th place. pretty impressive when you look at the whole board and the number of zeros. of course this is all unofficial until they hit the scales in N/O but they are usually pretty close.

Yeah I wont believe it till they hit the scales.  Those guys are some serious Sand Baggers, but it does give you something to do while your trapped at in the prison cube

Top 3 all in spittn distance.   My guess is it dries up and someone fishing Venice wins it and some guy named Martens comes in 2nd (for the 4th time)

Martens was already whinning about the company he has. if he doesn't win it will be Kevin and Scotts fault.

How can someone be that good? (KVD)  They need to give him a handicap, like make him fish from the bank, would probably still whack'em.

Just in case you didnt realize how dominant KVD is, here are a few of the benchmarks he hit this weekend.

-Equalled Rick Clunn for most Classic victories (four).

-Joined Clunn, who was previously the only angler to win back-to-back Classics.

-Won his third Classic in 6 years.

-Won five of the six most recent major B.A.S.S. titles – Angler of the Year (AOY) in 2008, 2009 and 2010, and the Classic in 2010 and 2011.

-Creeped within one win of Roland Martin's record for total career B.A.S.S. wins (19). (VanDam's two 12-boat-field post-season wins not included.)

-Surpassed Roland Martin's record of nine major B.A.S.S. titles. Roland won nine AOY titles. VanDam has now won six AOY titles and four Classics. (Martin still holds the record   for most AOY titles).

-Became the only angler ever to win two Classics on the same waterbody.

-Set a new 3-day Classic weight record of 69-11.

-Eclipsed the previously unthinkable mark of $5 million in career earnings.

And just think, Kisselburg beat KVD last year in Fish & Chips, now that's impressive.
