11 teams fished, 5 teams weighed in and 2 places were paid.
11 teams showed up to our first event on Lake Travis. The lake was the slickest we’ve seen it in a while and the water temps were in the mid 60s throughout the majority of the lower end of the lake.
Several teams reported a very active shallow bite in the backs of creeks and coves. Despite the numbers caught, there was only one limit brought to the scales. Coulter and Lee took home first place and Big Bass with their four fish going just over 10 pounds with a nice 4.37 pound kicker. Second place went to Brian and Travis for their 8.5 pound sack.
Teams reported catching fish on a variety of lightly weighted soft plastics including flukes, Senkos and small creature baits. Beds are starting to pop up all over the lake and the smaller buck bass have been fairly easy to catch. The bigger females should start moving shallow any day now and it won’t be long until we see 15 pound sacks weighed in. Thanks to all that came out and see y’all next week!
