THE COMPANY:

In 2007 Andy Nuyen took over a weekly tournament on Lake Austin; the small tournament consisted of 10-12 local anglers, but within the year quickly grew to a field of nearly 30 boats! As Andy got more involved with the tournament, he realized the potential and saw the vision of providing anglers with timely results and thorough tournament coverage.

Throughout most of 2008, Andy continued refining the Wednesday Night Tournament while chasing the idea of creating a site focused on covering bass fishing news and local tournaments in the state of Texas. It wasn’t until he ran into two other friends, Brian Booker and Robby Crabb, that the idea for TEXAS TOURNAMENT ZONE was born. Following the success of their first official tournament, the Lake Austin Big Bass Splash in December of 2008, the three anglers combined their talents with their passion for the sport and set out to form TTZ.

TEXAS TOURNAMENT ZONE was established in January of 2009. While we are a diverse group of regular guys, one thing is exactly the same, our blood runs green with the love of bass fishing and we are all about having a good time!

TTZ embraces all aspects of competitive angling including the planning, promotion and directing of bass fishing tournaments. Our website, ttz1.com, delivers tournament news and information pertaining to the sport of bass fishing via the Internet. We believe our emphasis upon innovation and quality will help us discover new approaches to serve our anglers, inform our viewers and represent our sponsors.
