Earlier this year, Jim Behnken’s wife passed after a hard fought battle with leukemia. Please take a moment to read Jane’s story.
As you can imagine, such a lengthy battle will result in stifling medical bills and other liabilities. To show their support for the Behnken family, a group of local anglers and family friends set up a raffle and benefit tournament to help offset the expenses the Behnkens have incurred during their pressing times.
There were some unbelievable trips donated by many of the state’s top guides and anglers along with great prizes from several companies; the raffle drawing was held on October 31st and raised over $18,000! Two weeks later, the anglers reunited and participated in a fund raiser tournament on Choke Canyon. Texas Tournament Zone was there and captured what could not be told in words.
