Power Tackle rods are known for their power, strength and durability. With several lines of bass rods including the “No Ratz”, Paragon, Swim Bait, Grass Mat, Football Jig and Spinning series, Power Tackle is introducing rods that feature the finest components available, such as RECOIL guides and Fuji reel seats.

Power Tackle’s Moderate Fast Action

Most bass rod blanks are a fast action which just allow the tip to bend, and unfortunately are prone to breakage. The Power Tackle blanks are moderate fast, which means more of the rod bends toward the middle. More of the rod flexes, instead of just the tip, which enables the fisherman to stay in contact with the fish after the hook set and keeps an equalized fighting pressure on the fish.

By reacting more slowly to the fish’s abrupt action, the pressure is more easily maintained on the line, thus keeping the hook engaged. This blank property will be increasingly important as the fish attempts to dive beneath the boat or a nearby piece of cover. This will also reduce the likelihood of tearing a bigger hole in the fish’s mouth, especially when fishing super lines, and reduces the risk of the bait being thrown. The increased action also enables the rod to load up for a longer cast – which is a big plus in clear waters.

No Ratz and Paragon Reel Seats

With the invention of the low profile reels, more people palm the reels than ever before. Power Tackle’s No Ratz series features a palm support seat that is ergonomically designed for control and comfort to get you through hours and days of hard fishing. The trigger on the reel seat is wider, smoother and moved back an inch – unlike most rods that have a small, sharp trigger that create calluses between your fingers.

The ACS grip on the Paragon series is also what sets it apart. Different from the No Ratz series in that there are grooves cut into the grip which allow a spot for each of your fingers. The ACS also features an exposed section of the blank in the seat, allowing for maximum feel.
